Easy ways to eat raw at restaurants!

Eating out raw is not that difficult. You can bring some of your own staples along with you and and combine with these ideas:Mexican: Pica di gao (chopped tomato and cilantro with lime juice - not spelled correctly) and guac and any other veggies that usually come on the side with fajitas Japanese: Seaweed salad and veggie rolls without the rice Thai: Spring rolls (not eating the wrapper of course) with dipping sauce, papaya salad, mango salad (YUM) American: Iceberg salad with olive oil and lemon juice/balsamic vinegar *These suggestions don't require any special requests from the restaurant, but if you don't mind doing that, you can always ask for veggie sides raw at any restaurant. 6 out of 8 found this valuable. Those are really good ideas, but about the balsamic vinegar--it's really acidic and one of the best benefits of eating raw is that your body becomes more alkaline, i.e. neutral--cancer can't grow in an alkaline environment and it slows down the aging process significantly. Acidic things work directly against this end. Vinegar is basically alcohol (also very acidic.) Other acidic foods are sugars, red meat, dairy (animal products in general), you get the idea

BYOOP... bring your own organic produce. You can bring your own spice blend and a jar of dressing. I like to dine out with an avocado stashed in my pocket and a jar of DSO... dusle, spirulina and oliv oil for dressing. Bring flax crackers or spice seeds to put on the salad. Usually I'll ask for some balsamic vinegar or fresh lemon to put on a naked salad. I've heard of folks making business cards that they give to the waiter to place their order. The card says: I'm a live food vegan. Please prepare me a basic salad with any of these fresh/uncooked/non canned items: lettuce, carrots, tomato, celery, avocado, onion, bell pepper. Do not add a dressing, croutons, cheese, bacon bits or any other extras to the salad. Thank you. Hopefully the kitchen staff is accommodating and they don't spit in your salad. Good luck and Keep It Live! www.livefoodexperience.com Adam Do you find this valuable? |
