A week and a half ago dipped into another full blown, 16 hours sleeping a day, pain in the limbs attack of M.E or Fibromyalgia or CFS (Doctors cannot agree). This was my second in three years. This one began worst than any previous attacks.
I surfaced after three days and search the internet and came across the idea of eating raw food.
I have been on raw food for only one week and all pain has left my limbs and I am only sleeping 9-10 hours a night.
I had an enormous headache for the first two days (caffeine withdrawel?) then felt no different than before I started on the following day .But today I have woken amazed by the speed of my recovery. I am out of bed, I have no pain, I can think, my eyes don't hurt, the soles of my feet aren't buring, life feels worth living.
I am seriously contemplating going the whole hog and buying a juicer. I am even trying sprouting beans! According to what I have read on line things can only get better!!

This will be my third day on raw foods and I am sleeping better than I have in a long time. My energy level is improving and just feel lighter. I had a terrible headache the first day so I drank a half cup of coffee yesterday and will have a little this morning with almond milk. I had a little gastric pain last evening and couldn't eat dinner but I feel fine today. My elimination is fantastic. I started this lifestye because my doctor said that I would have to go on blood pressure medication and that I should probably have a gastric bypass surgery. I am 58 years old, 5' 4" and weigh 228 with a BMI of 39. I decided at that moment that I would take charge of my life and prescribe myself raw foods and exercise and see if I can get my BP down as well as my weight. I am just going to take it one day at a time and be nurturing to myself. I have so been about 98% raw for the 2 days that I have been eating raw and I can't believe how full I am and how much slower I eat my meals. This is really such a new and exciting experience. I am going to just keep taking baby steps and keep a good attitude. I wish you all the very best with your raw foods journey. I love to hear back from others. Becky

I've been eating mostly raw food for about three years now. I feel great, recently realised I hadn't been to see my doctor since I started raw food eating.

Read the China Study, and Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrmann, these books changed my outlook on most everything.

I am more active, energetic, have taken up new sports and returned to old ones like cycling. I lost over a stone.

I do have some chocolate, pasta and rice, but raw veg wraps are my favourite meal. Most meals I have are mainly raw veg. Veg mayonnaise, yeast extract, miso, tomato puree are all useful parts of the raw diet for me.

I have read so many good things about this life style, not a diet! I can't wait to start. I have been limiting the amount of meat in my diet already, so I hope this change to raw will be fairly easy. The hardest part I think will be no pop, coffe or tea. I would love to make sun tea but I live in MI and it is getting down into the single digits tonight. Too cold to make sun tea!! If anyone has ideas of how to make tea, I would appraciate it!!

I have been on Raw Food Plan for two days now, I am still having my coffee, but I too noticed an enormous headache, so it's not caffeine withdrawal. It is a whopper of a headache, but mine is at night (last night and tonight). I have Lupus/FMS/Celiac, for the first time today I notice that my horrid neck pain was gone, still have some other pain but not as bad, I am amazed!! I had taken prescription/otc meds and they didn't help my neck, now all of a sudden it's gone?!! I have noticed that I have more energy, but also need to eat more often. So far this has been great!
